JAKARTA - The Cyber Team of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police found a social media account that uploaded the first video footage of a religious figure from the As-Sunnah Islamic Boarding School Ustadz Mizan Qudsiah whose remarks allegedly discredited the sacred graves of the ancestors on the island of Lombok.

"We have got (the video uploading account), we just need to evaluate and analyze it," said the Director of the Special Crime Investigation Unit (Dirreskrimsus) of the NTB Police Kombes I Gusti Putu Gede Ekawana in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 3.

He explained that the cyber team found the account that uploaded the first 19-second video clip on Facebook social media according to the results of checking through a digital forensic system.

Following up on these findings, the cyber team has seen a resemblance to a video uploaded on YouTube social media. The YouTube video with a duration of 1 hour 2 minutes 59 seconds features a recitation forum which was also hosted by Ustadz Mizan Qudsiah.

"So the video on YouTube took place on November 13, 2020. We have already 'profiled' and indeed the video clip on Facebook has merged with the upload on YouTube," he said.

However, his party will still conduct an in-depth study of the video which has now gone viral and is widely spread in the virtual world.

"Later on, we will also forensically examine those from YouTube and Facebook. Is this the same as the report we received," he said.

The report received by the NTB Regional Police was said by Ekawana regarding the upload of Ustadz Mizan Qudsiah's 19-second video clip. The report came from a community group on Sunday, January 2 afternoon.

Regarding his report, Ekawana ensured that his party began to schedule requests for clarification to the reporters and the reported parties, in this case, Ustadz Mizan Qudsiah.

Ekawana ensured that the clarification of the parties would be included in the study along with the upload of the video footage.

"So now we are studying everything, we combine it, we analyze it and combine it with public information. If there is a problem, we will try to take further legal steps," he said.

The short 19-second video has sparked public reactions, especially those who live on the island of Lombok. The police are also expected to follow up on this matter with a fair law.

Earlier on Sunday, January 2 in the morning, at around 02.00 central Indonesia time, there was already a reaction from the upload of a 19-second video clip. The reaction arose from an unknown group of people who vandalized the facilities of the As-Sunnah Islamic Boarding School in Bagek Nyaka, Aikmel District, East Lombok Regency.

Regarding the incident, the East Lombok Police have also followed up by conducting an investigation.
