Local Tourist Visits To Bali 20 Thousand People Per Day Ahead Of New Year, Hotel Occupancy Reaches 10 Percent

DENPASAR - Domestic tourist visits (wisdom) to the Island of the Gods, Bali, are estimated to have reached 19-20 thousand people per day before the new year.

"In total up to 19 thousand and 20 tourists per day from all entrances from airports and ports," said Head of the Tourism Marketing Division (Kabid) of the Bali Tourism Office, Ida Ayu Indah, Thursday, December 30.

Meanwhile, according to the records of the Bali Tourism Office, passengers entering Bali as of December 28, 2021, at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport reached 11,825 passengers per day.

From Gilimanuk Harbor in Jembrana Regency, it reaches 12,362. Meanwhile, from Padangbai Port, Karangasem Regency, Bali, it reached 923 passengers.

According to him, domestic tourist visits to Bali this year have started to increase since the PPKM was relaxed.

"So for domestic tourists it has gotten better since the PPKM was relaxed. On average 11 thousand come to Bali per day at the airport, not at the port," Ayu Indah added.

When compared to last September and October 2021, domestic tourist visits to Bali increased by 50 percent.

Meanwhile, the hotel occupancy rate from the latest data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the Province of Bali has reached 10.57 percent. Ayu Indah hopes that by the end of this year, the hotel occupancy rate will reach 12 percent.

"For the last one from BPS, we see 10.57 percent. But we hope that by tomorrow it will be 12 percent," said Indah.
