Hillary Brigitta Asks For TNI Security, More Cases In North Sulawesi And Frequent 'Conflicts' With Strong People

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives from the Nasdem faction, Hillary Brigitta Lasut, sent a letter to the Army Chief of Staff asking for security services from the TNI AD to guard his duties. Hillary Brigitta said there were rules that made the request not unreasonable.

To VOI, Hillary Brigitta, who sits on Commission I on defense, explained the background to her request. Hillary Brigitta admitted that she was actively overseeing a number of legal cases for residents in North Sulawesi.

These cases, she admits, often involve big people. It's just that Hillary Brigitta chose not to go into detail about this.

"So to prevent a conflict of interest, if possible I might be more (escorted) to the TNI because there are fewer reports related to the TNI," said Hillary Brigitta, Wednesday, December 1.

"I am more comfortable no longer using security assistance. But in the meantime, my family, especially my father, because I am far away from duty in Talaud and I am alone with the children, I often have disagreements with strong people, I am asked not to be alone," she explained.

He said escorting TNI soldiers was nothing new. Hillary Brigitta admitted that there were many other members of the DPR who asked for security assistance from the TNI.

"I immediately wrote to the Army Chief of Staff, asking for security assistance because of considerations, many affairs in the police are like this and this," she said.
