Haven't Received Police Permission, The 212 Reunion Will Take Place In 2 Locations

JAKARTA - The 212 reunion action committee has again changed the plan. The 212 reunions will take place in two locations, namely at the Horse Statue of Arjuna Wiwaha, Central Jakarta, and the Az Zikra Mosque, Sentul, West Java.

"It's true, as has been said", said the 212 reunion committee, Eka Jaya, to VOI, Tuesday, November 30.

The 212 reunions which will take place at the Horse Statue will start at 08.00 WIB until 11.00 WIB. There, the speeches will be filled later.

"Activities at the Horse Statue, because this is a peaceful protest, we will have a regular ceremonial, (singing) Indonesia Raya and filled with tausiah (religious lecture) or speeches from figures", said Eka.

Then, activities at the Az Zikra Mosque will start at 13.00 WIB. Later it will be filled with dhikr together.

"It's just that not all of Sentul (the masses participate) because it's also limited there", he said.

In addition, Eka said that the reason behind the 212 reunions was held in two sessions because the events at Az Zikra and the Horse Statue did not get permission. Moreover, the police have received a letter of application for a permit, so they chose to continue to hold the activity.

"So they (the police) have completed the notification, right, regarding whether there is an action. So that's what it's done, it's just run in two", said Eka.

No Police Permit

Previously reported, the National Police stated that the crowd permit regarding the event had not yet been issued.

"So far we have not received any information about it (the crowd permit)", said Head of the Police General Information Section, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Tuesday, November 30.

Ramadhan emphasized, wherever the activity is held, it must meet the licensing requirements. Especially permits issued by the police.

"Of course (using a permit). We want to ask first whether the notification has been received by the local police, and of course, the police will see what activities are being carried out", said Ramadhan.

"Where the activities are carried out, where, of course, will be studied first. Then after that an analysis is carried out, whether the crowd permit is given, we will tell you later", he continued.
