KPK Examines PT Adimulia Agrolestari's Financial Records Looking For Money Flow To Kuansing Regent

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the flow of money to the inactive Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regent Andi Putra by PT Adimulia Agrolestari for the processing of the right to use permit (HGU) for oil palm plantations. This investigation was carried out by summoning a witness, namely Frank Widjaja, who is a private party.

"The investigative team has examined the witness for the suspect AP and his friends, Frank Widjaja, from the private sector," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Tuesday, November 30.

Ali said Frank came to the investigation and investigators had asked him to explain about the financial records of PT Adimulia Agrolestari.

In the note, it is suspected that there was a flow of money for Andi and other parties related to the granting of HGU permits for oil palm plantations.

"The person concerned was present and explained, among other things, related to the financial records of PT AA (Adimulia Agrolestari) which is suspected to have flowed some money for the processing of the HGU permit in question and flowed to Tsk AP and other related parties," said Ali.

Putra and General Manager of PT Adimulia Agrolestari, Sudarso as suspects in the bribery case for plantation permits. This allegation began when PT Adimulia Agrolestari applied for an extension of the Right to Cultivate (HGU) starting in 2019 and ending in 2024.

The proposal stated that each company must build a partnership garden of at least 20 percent of the HGU in the Kuansing area. However, the company actually made it in Kampar Regency, not in Kuansing Regency.

Even so, Sudarso still submitted a letter of application to Andi to approve it. However, the agreement was reached with the provision of money twice, namely in September of IDR 500 million and October of IDR 200 million.

As a result of this action, the KPK then named Andi and Sudarso as suspects. The two suspects were detained in two different places, namely the KPK Detention Center at the Jaya Guntur Pomdam Branch and the Merah Putih building.
