BMKG Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain Will Fall In Several Big Cities

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts heavy rains that can be accompanied by lightning in a number of major cities in Indonesia on Monday.

According to the BMKG weather forecast, heavy rain that can be accompanied by lightning has the potential to fall in the cities of Gorontalo, Banjarmasin, Ambon, Mataram, Kupang, and Manado.

The cities of Banda Aceh, Bengkulu, Bandung, Bandar Lampung, Makassar and Mamuju are forecasted to experience moderate intensity rain.

Meanwhile, the cities of Serang, Yogyakarta, Central Jakarta, Palangka Raya, Tarakan, Pangkal Pinang, Ternate and Manokwari are forecasted to face light rain.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​BMKG predicted that the weather of Surabaya, Samarinda, Jayapura, Kendari, and Palembang City are cloudy, and Denpasar, Jambi, Pontianak, Tanjung Pinang, Pekanbaru, Padang, and Medan City are sunny.

According to BMKG forecasts, the air temperature in big cities in Indonesia ranges from 20 to 33 degrees Celsius and humidity is between 60 and 100 percent.
