BPOM Holds A Meeting With The National Police Chief, Discusses The Recruitment Of Two Generals

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo held a meeting with the Head of the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) Penny K. Lukito at the National Police Headquarters. During the meeting, BPOM requested the support of the National Police to fill the position.

"The Head of the POM Center conveyed to the National Police Chief that there are two positions that will later be filled from the police," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday, November 23.

However, the two positions are not directly at BPOM. Instead, they are placed in a new organization that has been approved.

"The POM Center now has a new organization that has been ratified. He also needs support from the National Police as he also carries out comparative studies in America. So the POM Center in America also has a police element," said Dedi.

The two positions are at the level of deputy. The position will be occupied by echelon I and II of members of the National Police.

"The first is from echelon I, namely the deputy for prosecution, secondly there are echelon II positions which are still being formulated by Balai POM. Later, Balai POM will write to the National Police Headquarters, those positions will be filled by elements of the police," said Dedi.

"Echelon I deputy has 2 stars and the position of director of Echelon II is 1 star," he continued.

Later, after collaborating, the action option is not prioritized. Because the main choice is still coaching the violators.

"When later elements from the police have entered, they will collaborate together in the field, both in the context of fostering elements for business actors in the field of medicine, food and so on, as well as in terms of law enforcement," said Dedi.
