US Caucasian In Bali Apologized After The Video Of Him Singing In Police Uniform On Halloween Circulated

DENPASAR - The Denpasar Police, Bali, responded to the circulation of a video of a Caucasian from the United States (US) with the initials RLB singing in a cafe in the Sanur area wearing a police uniform.

The Caucasian wore police uniforms and sang during Halloween celebrations, Saturday, October 31.

The Head of Profession and Security (Propam) Division for the Denpasar Police, Iptu Harun Budiyanto, said that his party had checked the incident. The US foreigner is said to have clarified and apologized and at the same time emphasized that he did not intend to harass the National Police (Polri) institution.

"From the information in question, the uniforms were obtained by buying them at a shop that sells the uniforms of the National Police Service," said Iptu Harun, Friday, November 19.

The police have also asked for information from police attribute traders in the Denpasar area on Thursday, November 18. The police warned that a similar incident would not happen again.

The police asked traders to be selective when selling merchandise by asking for ID card for Polri personnel, registering buyers, and registering sales of Police official clothes to the nearest police station. The goal is to prevent misuse of police attributes.

"We hope the cooperation of the police attribute traders to be more thorough and selective in selling uniform attributes so that they are not misused by irresponsible parties and harm the police," added Iptu Harun.

"If at any time there is something suspicious, we ask the merchants and attribute shop owners to immediately coordinate or report the matter to the Denpasar Police Sipropam," he continued.
