Arrest Dealers In North Aceh Inland Hut, Police Confiscate 1 Sack Of Methamphetamine Packages

ACEH - North Aceh Police Narcotics Investigation Unit personnel thwarted the circulation of methamphetamine-type drugs weighing more than 6.2 kilograms and arrested a suspected dealer.

North Aceh Police, Chief AKBP Riza Faisal, said the perpetrator with the initials M alias Apa Cut, was arrested in a hut in Krueng Lingka Village, Stepan District, North Aceh Regency.

"In addition to arresting perpetrator M, we are pursuing another suspected perpetrator with the initials S, a resident of Julok, Peureulak District, East Aceh Regency", he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 17.

Accompanied by the Head of the North Aceh Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Iptu Samsul Bahri, the North Aceh Police Chief said that the disclosure of the narcotics case began with public information.

People who reported large amounts of narcotics transactions in a hut in the interior of North Aceh Regency.

Then, the Operational team of the North Aceh Police Narcotics Investigation Unit investigated it to confirm the information. After confirming it was correct, the officers immediately drew up a plan to raid the hut belonging to the Apa Cut perpetrator.

"The perpetrator was arrested without a fight. In the raid, officers confiscated one sack containing six packages of crystal methamphetamine each weighing one kilogram and five packages each containing 50 grams and one minibus unit", said Police Chief Riza Faisal.

After the interrogation, the Apa Cut perpetrator admitted that he only kept the methamphetamine. The Apa Cut perpetrator received wages for storing methamphetamine of IDR 5 million per kilogram.

He emphasized that the North Aceh Police Operation team continued to pursue the perpetrator with the initials S. Now, S has been included in the wanted list or DPO.

"The perpetrator M alias Apa Cut was charged with the narcotics law with a maximum sentence of life and or 20 years in prison", he said.
