The Appearance Of A Tax Boss Who Was Forcibly Arrested By The KPK In South Sulawesi

JAKARTA - Former Head of the Bantaeng Pratama Tax Service Office, Wawan Ridwan arrived at the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Thursday, November 11. He was arrested in South Sulawesi on Wednesday, November 10 yesterday.

After arriving at the KPK, Wawan, who was accompanied by officers from the anti-corruption commission, was seen wearing a red collared shirt and brown pants. He seemed to cover his hands with a blue jacket.

Wawan did not provide any information because he immediately entered the building to undergo an examination.

KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said the arrest was made because Wawan was not cooperative during the investigation into the development of the tax bribery case that had ensnared the former Director of Audit and Collection of the Directorate General of Taxes, Angin Prayitno Aji.

"We consider the person concerned to be uncooperative during the process of completing the investigation of the case which is currently being carried out by the KPK", Ali told reporters, Thursday, November 11.

Furthermore, Wawan will be further examined by investigators. Later, said Ali, the results of the investigation will be announced to the public.

"We will convey the progress", he said.
