JAKARTA - Five students could only surrender when they were arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police Precision Pioneer Patrol Team when they were about to hold a brawl in Wijaya Kusuma, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. The perpetrators were arrested for storing weapons.

Head of Samapta Polres Metro West Jakarta, AKBP M Hari Agung Julianto, said the arrests began with information from local residents.

"Residents reported that there was a group of teenagers carrying sharp weapons around the area. The team immediately responded by moving to the location," said AKBP Agung when confirmed, Friday, November 22.

Arriving at the location, the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team found a group of teenagers with the characteristics according to the report. Not wanting to waste time, officers immediately gave chase.

After successfully arresting five teenagers, officers conducted a search and found two sickles that were suspected of being used in the brawl.

Teenagers and evidence in the form of two sickles were immediately taken to the Grogol Petamburan Police for further processing.

The police appreciate the quick report from the public who helped anticipate the potential for disturbances in the security and social order.

"This is the result of good cooperation between the police and residents. We will continue to improve patrols to prevent the same thing from happening in the jurisdiction of West Jakarta," he said.

Brawls not only endanger the perpetrators but also the surrounding community. The police hope that this action can provide a deterrent effect as well as education to students and the school environment.
