After 22 Years, Alan Cumming Returns To MCU Through Avengers: Doomsday

JAKARTA - Marvel brought various surprising names in the film Avengers: Doomsday. In addition to the actors who previously joined the MCU, they also presented a number of names from the X-Men era for this film, one of which was Alan Cumming.

Alan Cumming was announced as one of the names who will join this film. Of course, the news came as a surprise considering he returned to play Nightcrawler after 22 years.

In the live broadcast, Alan Cumming is said to be making his MCU debut as Nightcrawler, the character he played in the X2 film.

Nightcrawler or Kurt Wagner is a German-blooded mutant who teleports and has agile hands and arms. The mutant also has yellow eyes, sharp teeth, tail tips, and blue fur.

Launching Screen Rant, Alan Cumming only played that role once in one film, but his role became one of the memorable appearances. He also revealed that he did not like the role because of the time spent doing makeup on his face.

Apart from Cumming, some of the re-confirmed X-Men characters are Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier and Ian McKellen as Magneto.

Rebecca Romjin (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), Kelsey Grammer (Beast) is also back after being seen on the credit for The Marvels.

Thanks Tatum also returned to playing Gambit after appearing in the film Deadpool & airing.
