JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's discourse on the Ciliwung River drain in Bidara Cina Village, Jatinegara District has not been completed. The obstacle arose because there was a land issue.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency, Yusmada Faizal, said that the reason for determining the location (penlok) of the project which was stopped in 2015 was moved due to land problems.
"There was a land issue, so the Ministry (PUPR) moved the location, so as not to be constrained by land issues," Yusmada told reporters, Tuesday, November 2.
However, he did not specify what the land issue was because the residents of RW 04 Bidara Cina village refused to evict their houses for the Ciliwung River Sodetan project or not.
Just to explain that from the stage of land acquisition until the work is fully carried out using the APBN, not the DKI Jakarta Provincial Budget and now the work has begun.
"It has been implemented by the Ministry (PUPR), it is already in the process of being worked on. The work will use the state budget," he said.
Yusmada said that the Ciliwung River drain project in Bidara Cina Village aims to solve the problem of overflowing flooding in the Ciliwung River which is still happening.
Later, the water discharge in the Ciliwung River will be diverted to the East Flood Canal (KBT), Duren Sawit District so that it is hoped that the Ciliwung River will not overflow into residential areas.
"The term is divided water, when Ciliwung is on standby one water can be divided into BKT. If BKT allows it to accommodate it," he said.
