Three Headliners Presented For The 2024 Jakarta Joyland Festival

JAKARTA - Plainsong Live is preparing to hold the 2024 Jakarta Joyland Festival which will last for three days at the GBK Senayan Baseball Field, Central Jakarta on November 22-24.

This year's event features three headliners, namely St. Vincent, Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster, and AIR.

Ferry Dermawan as Program Director of Joyland Festival said that each headliner is presented by looking at their quality as musicians or groups.

"Take St. Vincent to the Joyland Festival Jakarta is an achievement for Joyland and for me personally! We admire his beautiful works," said Ferry Dermawan during a press conference in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 14.

St. Vincent will feature many repertoires from All Born Screaming, his album from 2024 which has been widely praised. The album contains songs such as Big Time Nothing, Flea, and Broken Man. He will also bring his old material, including Pay Your Way in Pain, Digital Witness, Cheerleader, and New York.

Then, the Hyukoh & Sunset Rollercoaster was specially presented at the Joyland Festival, considering that the collaboration between South Korean and Taiwanese musicians was on an Asian tour.

"This is their only festival stage, because it was previously a tour, and this is the last stage to promote their collaboration album," Ferry said.

As for AIR, Ferry admitted that he had a personal reason to present the duo from France. He admitted that he had listened to AIR music for a long time.

"In the past, when I was at school, I bought an album from AIR, at first, because the cover was good, then when I heard the song, I liked it too," he said.

Meanwhile, other international performers at the 2024 Jakarta Joyland Festival are Badminton Bicycle Club, MONO, Real Estate, Automatic, Brainstory, John Carroll Kirby, Balming Tiger, Bubble Tea and Cigarettes, DYGL, Silica Gel, and Surprise Chef.

Meanwhile, Indonesian performers at the 2024 Jakarta Joyland Festival are Greenhouse Effect, Lidah Berduri Council, Indies, Magic Contest, Ali, Maliq & D Essentials, The Adams, The SIG.I.T.,.FEAST, BANK, and Sigmun.
