Num Viphurit Presents Four Songs For EP Paul Vibhavadi Vol. 1

JAKARTA - After introducing two singles entitled 'The Other Side' and 'Balter Baby', Phum Viphurit comes with an extended play (EP) or the latest mini album entitled 'Paul Vibhavadi Vo. 1'.

In addition to the two singles that were released earlier, the singers who wrote songs from Thailand presented two other songs for the latest mini album, namely Fast Life and If This Is The End.

The concept of Paul Vibhavadi Vol. 1 begins with Phum's desire to widen its musical boundaries, which then lead it to other creative paths in songwriting.

I have long liked house music in the early 2000s and wanted to combine my guitar playing into music with BPM (the tempo with a beat unit per minute) like that. When I had the idea to compose these four songs, I immediately thought about using an alter ego," said Phum Viphurit in a press release to VOI, Friday, October 18.

FUm called several previous artists who carried the concept of alter ego, such as Tyler, the Creator as Igor and David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, inspiring him to make Paul Vibhavadi his own alter ego.

"There is a new impression and that's what I'm interested in," said Phum.

"This method also allows me to escape writing based on personal experience and use the ability to write scripts to develop figures and stories in this new small world," he continued.

Dengan FUm memerankan Paul, album mini ini membawa pendengar untuk mengikuti perjalanan sang Tiankang yang merasa tidak cocok hidup di kota, sehingga pergi mencari hutan magik Himmapan.

The Other Side as the opening song, with a home music rhythm, tells of Paul's encounter with the Badminton tribe which makes him lulled by worship.

Then, the composition of the 'Balter Baby' instrumental dance accompanied Paul's moment of fun with the tribe before he went to fly in a flaring bubble.

In the closing song This Is the End, Paul reaches the gate of his goal and considers what to leave if he decides to enter.
