Waiting For The End Of The Eight Years, RAN Prepares To Launch New Album October 23

JAKARTA - The RAN music group is preparing to end the eight-year period without releasing full albums. Rayi, Asta, and Nino will launch their sixth full album titled Theater Nestapa on October 23.

Eight years without an album being recognized by the personnel for a long time, so a collective initiative emerged to return to the workshop and write songs together.

"Indeed, the three of us have felt that we haven't released an album for too long. We've tried to make singles, but it's not like RAN's DNA," Rayi said in his statement, Wednesday, September 4.

In the last eight years, RAN has indeed been active in producing works, but this is not enough for now. They want to be 'born again' through a new album.

"Initially, we thought that with the times and ways people released songs, single-single alone was enough to prolong their breath. But for this time, we don't want to just extend our breath, we want to make something really new," said Nino.

"Just make a single feel like an extended version of what people see from us. If you make an album, it's like being reborn with a really new concept," he continued.

Meanwhile, the unusual love themes become common threads that RAN tries to present on their new album.

On this new album, the concept is quite unique. In the past, people knew the colorful and cheerful RAN music group. Now we are making an album called the Nestapa Theater, something that is the opposite of what they know about RAN, Nino said.

For information, RAN released his first full album with the title RAN for Your Life in 2007. Two years later, the trio from Jakarta launched Friday as the second album in 2009.

Furthermore, RAN still released three other full albums, namely HOP3 in 2011, New Day in 2013, and RAN in 2016.
