JAKARTA - Alternative pop-rock band from Cianjur, Junvio launched a new single entitled 'Listen'. This song is the second single throughout 2024, after the 'Teteh' released last July.

Through 'Listen', the trio consists of Iky (vocals), Reza (bass), and Ocky (drums) try to explore the theme of love one-sided applause in an unconventional way.

Unlike many broken-hearted songs that tend to play melancholic melodies, "Listen" combines energetic musical arrangements with a touch of futuristic electro.

"We want to create a song that talks about the pain of unsophisticated love, but in a way that continues to lift and empower," said Iky in his statement, Wednesday, September 4.

Iky as a songwriter, made his personal experience of his friend who experienced love one-sided applause as an inspiration.

The "Listen" tells the story of a man who really cares about a woman, but the woman loves another man who just plays with his feelings.

Through this narrative, Junvio wants to convey a strong message to listeners to choose someone who really cares and will always be there for them in all conditions.

In addition to being launched on a digital music platform, Junvio will also be present in the form of a music video that will be displayed on the GP Records YouTube channel on September 13.

Along with the launch of the latest single, Junvio is also planning a promotional campaign targeting countries in Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia and Singapore, to expand reach and connect with new fans.

"We hope 'Listen' can sink into the hearts of anyone who ever loves someone who doesn't love him back, and encourage them to find someone who will love them," concluded Iky.
