Synchronize Fest 2024 Presents Line Up For Indonesian Foreign Musicians And Diaspora

JAKARTA - Synchronize Fest 2024 has announced a complete line-up arrangement, of which 160 performers will celebrate the greatness of Indonesian music for three days at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta from 4 to 6 October.

Held with the theme 'Together Together', Synchronize Fest this year will be a little different, by presenting several musicians from abroad.

The appearance of the foreign musician will be a special offering of Synchronize. The reason is, those who are presented are musicians who raise the narrative of Indonesia's musical identity in their work. This is seen as a contribution to the influence of Indonesian music in the global music community.

"We want to express it more optimally about Indonesia. If people see Synchronize, it is an Indonesian music festival. It means all music with an Indonesian narrative," said David Tarigan as Artist & Repertoire, at a press conference in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 27.

"Their presence is expected to bring a wider perspective on Indonesian music and how it affects the global music community," continued David.

According to David, it is important to see how the traces of Indonesian music are abroad. He saw many new narratives from musical actions outside Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Indonesian foreign musicians and diaspora who will appear in Synchronize Fest 2024, have been known to celebrate Indonesian music and make it the main inspiration.

They take part in various parts of the world and in their own way contribute to Indonesian music.

Some of the names to be presented are Koes Barat (United States), Nusantara Beat (Netherlands), Sheila Majid & Tohpati (Malaysia - Indonesia), AK / 47 (Indonesian diaspora in the United States - Indonesia), Arrington De Dionyso & Singo Sembrano (United States - Indonesia), Eastern Margins ( Southeast Asia - England), Island Vibes Reggae Party (Jamaika - Indonesia) - Lutan Fyah, CTTZ, Alvons, Richard D'Gilis, S2B Family, Lawa, Kamga, and Good Vibration.

In addition, G-Pluck will also appear who represents how Western music takes part in influencing pop culture in Indonesia.
