Clarification About Burning Sun Surabaya, Organizers Are Still Blasphemed By Netizens

JAKARTA - The Saverio alias Megi, CEO of TSV Management as the organizer has provided clarification regarding the Burning Sun Surabaya event that dragged Seungri's former BIGBANG name.

After causing controversy to get a response from Seungri, Megi uploaded a video on Instagram and mentioned a misunderstanding.

Megi said that his party had never stated that they invited Seungri, even though the former K-pop idol photo was clearly displayed on the uploaded poster.

"I want to emphasize that in the poster that I have distributed there is no statement to bring in Seungri. Then I explained that there was no illegal action or activity in this activity," said Megi.

Organizers say that the purpose of the Burning Sun Surabaya event is to remind K-pop fans of the dangers of the nightlife, such as the scandal that has occurred with Burning Sun and Seungri in South Korea.

"Why the best honorarium? Seungri and Burning Sun remind us of the safety of ourselves in public places, especially regarding the night world. Because anyone can become victims and perpetrators," said Megi.

"Therefore, I insert a message in the form of The New Chapter is Burn, aiming to remind us once again that incidents in Burning Sun can occur anytime and anywhere. But we will still be able to enjoy parties with experience of the night world like in Burning Sun with a safer and happier feeling," he continued.

Not wanting the Burning Sun Surabaya event to cause greater controversy, Megi stated that the event certainly would not be held.

Even though he has tried to clarify and convey his goals, Megi still gets blasphemy from netizens. The argument was deemed unreasonable.
