Scorpions Delays Residency Concert Due To Drummer's Health Condition

JAKARTA - Scorpions decided to postpone the inauguration concert in Las Vegas, United States, which was held in commemoration of the band's 60-year musical journey.

Meanwhile, the concert titled "Scorpions - Coming Home To Las Vegas 60th Anniversary Las Vegas Residency", is planned to be held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, starting February 37th.

Through an announcement posted on the official Facebook account, the band from Hannover, Germany stated that the decision to postpone the concert was taken due to the condition of the drummer, Mikkey Dee, who is still recovering from his recent hospitalizations.

"It is with a heavy heart that because Mikkey Dee is still in the post-treatment stage recently, we have decided to postpone the Residence to Return to Las Vegas until August 2025," the statement reads, citing the Facebook Scorpions account, Monday, January 20.

"The health and well-being of our brothers are the most important. We wish Mikkey a speedy recovery and hope to return to performing with all of you soon," he continued.

Meanwhile, on the new schedule for this residential concert, Scorpions will appear in five shows on 14, 16, 19, 21, and 23 August.

At the same time, Scorpions announced that tickets have been purchased for new dates. However, ticket holders are also entitled to apply for a refund.

All tickets will apply for a new date. Refunds of money will be available at the purchase site.

For information, Mikkey Dee revealed that he is recovering after spending most of the holiday season battling very serious blood infections.

Through an upload on social media, Dee said that he spent three weeks in a hospital in his hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden, where he underwent several operations.

Dee added that he had to undergo a series of recovery and rehabilitation to be able to return to playing drums at the Scorpions residential concert.
