Good Ol Dreams Presents CD And Vinyl Album For Bridals

JAKARTA - Following the current trend, where physical releases are again in demand, Good Ol Dreams presents physical releases in compact disc (CD) format and vinyl for its first album titled For Bridals.

Meanwhile, the album For Bridals packs a classic personal love story with progressive Indonesian pop music from the late 1970s to the early 1980s which was executed with the sensitivity of Generation Z.

"Every song on the album Untuk Bridal is related, the phase sequence from rejection to acceptance of the situation," said Ivan Adiwiguna, the figure behind the name Good Ol Dreams, in his statement, Thursday, July 4.

The CD and vinyl albums contain 11 tracks depicting the dynamics of a process, ranging from an initial phase full of anger in the songs "Dangkal" and Gram, then the moment when you start to be able to think clearly through the song Sorry, flashbacks of the masukmaran in Tersipupin Senja, which is then revived to the bitterness of the reality that exists through Taking the Soul and Regarding''.

Next, there are also songs such as Dreams' and Hinas representing the slump phase, then For Bridals which contains a message to lovers, followed by a song that focuses on the track, namely Smooths', which tells about separations. The album closes with a prayer that is present in the instrumental song May You Two in Good.'

The work on the album Untuk Bridal has started in 2021, with several album lists removed until they finally reach the final. Most of the songs in this album were composed and the arrangements completed in 2022," said Ivan.

The singer and songwriter from Cirebon worked on almost the entire process of writing and recording album material independently. In some songs, he was assisted by several friends, such as Muhamad Munajat who played electric guitar for the song Mohon Sorry, Lely who filled out the background vocals for the song Kilau, Ikhvana Dwi Rionaldi who helped the process of working on audio songs For Bridals, and Indra Antra who provided a lot of input for the song Tersipu Senja.

As a celebration of the launch of the CD and vinyl For Bridals, Good Ol Dreams has also held an event titled the Cirebon city edition Gigs Stage Tandang.
