Jakarta Concert Orchestra "An Anime Symphony: Resonance" (Doc. Ist)

JAKARTA - A magnificent performance was held again by the Jakarta Concert Orchestra (JCO) with the title "An Anime Symphony: Resonance" on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the JIEXPO Convention Center & Theater, Kemayoran, Jakarta. This concert is the third concert of a series of anime concerts that have become fans' favorites, and this time it was attended by around 4900 enthusiastic spectators.

Conducted by Avip Priatna, along with Batavia Madrigal Singers, The Resonanz Children Choir (TRCC), and TRC Serunai, this concert performed 23 iconic songs from various popular anime, including InuYasha, Stand By Me Doraemon, Yuri on Ice, Violet Evergarden, Sakura Wars, Cardcaptor Sakura, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Dragon Ball, Friedren: Beyond Journey's End, Mashle: Magic and Muscle, and famous work from Studio Ghibli. The performers also wore changing cosplay costumes according to the anime songs performed, adding to the excitement and uniqueness of this concert.

Jakarta Concert Orchestra opened a concert with the song "Overtaker" one of the popular works of the One Piece anime. At the end of the song, Avip Priatna created an unforgettable moment by creating one of the iconic scenes from One Piece, by giving a straw cap to a small child.

Next Batavia Madrigal Singers (BMS) Female took over the stage by performing a "Letter" song from the anime Violet Evergarden. The members of BMS Female looked elegant in all-white clothes and wore an umbrella, creating an atmosphere that was very synonymous with the anime, which amazed the entire audience.

No less stealing attention, TRC Serunai, a 4-7 year old children's choir also performed a special composition. They performed the soundtrack song "Crayon Shinchan" in the Indonesian version, while wearing a mega cloudy batik uniform costume that looked adorable. Their appearance brought great enthusiasm from the audience who sang together.

TRC, a choir of children aged 8-17 years, looked stunning by performing the song "Catch You Catch Me" from the Sakura Cardcaptor anime. These children wore orange dress uniforms, adding to the joy and enthusiasm in their performances that drew lively applause from the audience.

The audience became even more enthusiastic when Alexandra Januarvan, Leo Pramasatya, Melky Adrian, and Mitchell Wuisan sang "Bang-Bang-Bang-Born," opened theme of Mashle's anime: Magic and Muscles, complete with a dance that is synonymous with this anime.

The appearance of the solis is no less interesting, Dorothy Averina performed the song Omode no Kagami from the anime Jeanle with the Light Brown Hair, How come Concerto in B-minor: Allegro Apasionato from Yuri!!! on Ice was also performed by Elnino Mevlana Ibrahim fantastically.

The audience was also stunned by the appearance of the famous original scoring work from Studio Ghibli, including the songs "One Summer Day" and "My Neighbor Totoro," which brought magical and nostalgic nuances.

In memory of Akira Toriyama, one of the most influential figures in the world of manga and anime, JCO presented the Dragon Ball Opening Soundtrack in the Indonesian version, which invited the entire audience to sing together. The sound of the song echoed throughout the room, creating a very memorable nostalgic moment.

Before the concert ended, Jakarta Concert Orchestra with all the artists who were members of this show performed Naruto's closing song, "Go!" However, the enthusiasm of very high anime lovers made them ask for an encore by shouting "We Want More!". Responding to this request, JCO gave the last surprise by performing the song "Grand Escape" from Weathering With You as the perfect cover for the concert "An Anime Symphony: Resonance."
