Abbey Road Studios Announces 2024 Diversity Scholarship Program

JAKARTA - Abbey Road Studios announced that the 2024 diversity scholarship program currently accepts applicants.

The scholarship will include school fees and living expenses for two students from underrepresented groups, who will study a one-year course at the Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Voice Engineering.

They define underrepresented groups including, but not limited to: The backdrop of black ethnicity, Asia or minority, women and those from low-income households.

There is also the possibility for scholarship winners to take a one-year placement at Abbey Road Studios. You can apply for a scholarship until before March 15.

Meanwhile, Morris said that the main thing he learned while studying at the Abbey Road Institute was how important it was to apply basic principles correctly when recording and mixing rather than using cool new tools.

"I hope to start my placement at Abbey Road Studios, I am excited to implement the things I have learned, and improve my skills as a producer and engineer," he said.

Lastly, scholarship recipient colleague Marik Erskine said about this experience: I've learned a lot, I practically live in this building now. The whole experience of being in the studio every day, collaborating with other people, being tasked with, and experimenting more in my own skills has helped me thrive.
