JAKARTA - Metallica's reaction to the Judas Priest set at the Power Trip festival in California went viral this weekend.

Judas Priest appeared as part of a metal festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on Saturday, October 7, where they launched new album details.

Among the passionate fans was Metallica before closing the festival on Sunday, October 8 which looked very excited for the band in footage and photos shared by the audience.

Metallica posted their own photo of the show, featuring James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett enjoying the show in front of the barricades.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times ahead of the festival, drummer and co-founder of Metallica, Lars Ulrich revealed about the influence of Judas Priest along with other metal bands in the festival's line-up against Metallica as a band.

"Obviously AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest have a big influence," he said. "The three bands are an important part of the reason we want to be in a band. So uniting all these bands in the same space is something amazing."

Elsewhere at the Power Trip festival, AC/DC returned to stage with their first live show in seven years, where they reunited with lead vocalist Brian Johnson and performed a number of classic songs.
