JAKARTA - In a new interview with Pod Scam, the Sick Of It All frontman, Lou Koller revealed the progress of their new album.
Koller said the follow-up to Wake The Sleeping Dragon! is scheduled to arrive in early 2024.
"Yes, that's what I thought. I hope we release it this year doing it during COVID and releasing it this year because 2024 is a 30-year anniversary [our third album] flight The Surface," said Koller.
"So, now some festivals are asking us to come and play the Match The Surface, that's great, but I don't like doing that if we have a new album released," he continued.
"We've done it once in Texas for the Fun Fun Fun Fest. I think it's like the 20th anniversary of the Surface Match and our first 25th album, so we played a combination of those two albums."
"But, we had a new album at the time. I'd rather play everything alternately."

Three years ago, Koller was asked by Kerrang magazine! about the Sink Of It All album, which according to him is the most capable of capturing the appeal of this American hardcore punk band.
"If I had to choose one, I would say Death To Tyrants [2006]. It was like a reborn for us. We always felt like we had a curse these two years," Koller replied. "We wrote an album, we toured for two years and no one reacted to the new song, so we removed it from the set. Then when we came back later, people started calling for the song we wrote two years earlier. I think that's why we have to keep going forward."
