On The 2023 WJF Stage, Gigi Invites The Community To Maintain Peace Ahead Of The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - The legendary band Gigi, which also entertained West Java residents at the 2023 West Java Festival (WJF) music concert at the Siliwangi Stadium, Sunday (3/9) night, invited the public to maintain peace in welcoming the 2024 political year.

"Next year we are entering politics, that's why I invite everyone for peace," said Gigi Armand Maulana on the sidelines of her appearance, quoting Antara, Monday.

Armand continued that it is important to maintain peace and a conducive situation like this by remaining firm in maintaining a sense of unity.

"I don't like it when there is a fuss in Indonesia because of politics, the important thing is to keep the name Bandung, protect West Java, keep Indonesia safe from commotion," he asked.

In addition, he also expressed his gratitude to the West Java Provincial Government, which has invited the band from Kota Kembang at the last day of the WJF 2023 activity.

Meanwhile, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil also took to the stage with Atalia Praratya and a number of artists who are members of the Joint Sundanese Artists and Artists (GASS) to introduce the artists and inform them of what the group was doing, as well as share a memento of hats and t-shirts with the audience.

Not to forget, Ridwan Kamil also said goodbye to thousands of spectators who were present at the stadium, because his tenure in West Java will end on September 5, 2023.

"The next day I finish being governor, then I want to hang out on Jalan Asia Afrika with ghosts, don't forget to take a selfie, pay Rp. 5,000," said Ridwan Kamil jokingly.

In addition to the Gigi band, other performers, mostly from West Java, also entertained residents at the WJF 2023 music concert at the Siliwangi Stadium, Sunday (3/9) night, they include Pas Band, 3 Dangerous Youths, Doel Contribution, Juicy Luicy, The Changcuters, Smash, Wika Salim and Feel Koplo.
