JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) plans to auction off the Gilimanuk 'Menwi' Toll Road or the Tasikmalaya 'Cilacap' (Getaci) Toll Road project in early 2025.

This was conveyed by the Director General (Dirjen) of Infrastructure Financing of the Ministry of Public Works, Triono Junoasmono or Yongki when met at the National Seminar on Road Day 2024 at the Ministry of Public Works office, Jakarta, Thursday, December 19.

"We hope that early next year we can scar Gilimanuk's (toll) Mengwi," he said.

He also hopes that the feasibility study or the Gilimanuk 'Menwi' Toll Study can be completed by the end of 2024 so that an auction can be carried out immediately.

Apart from Gilimanuk 'Menwi', the Getaci Toll Road is also expected to be able to re-auction at the beginning of next year.

"So, later there may be an auction and we will continue again in January," he said.

According to Yongki, there are indeed several optimizations that may also be targeted so that next year the auction can be held again.

In fact, he said, many Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) have pre-qualified and have registered many auctions.

"There are only a few changes that we have adjusted at the end of this year," he said.

Yongki did not deny that there was a large amount of construction support that would later be needed in the project so that it would be more feasible and its attractiveness would be good.

"This is what we are calculating again. Hopefully it will be finished by the end of this month," he concluded.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the re-auction of the Getaci Toll Road was cut only to Ciamis.

Thus, technically the Getaci Toll Road is canceled as the longest toll road in Indonesia. The reason is, referring to data on the official website of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR, the Getaci toll road will only spread along 108.3 kilometers (km) with an investment value of IDR 37.64 trillion.

In fact, the long position of the toll road is no longer than the Palimanan (Cipali) Cikampek Toll Road, which has a total of 116 km.

Director General of Infrastructure and Housing Financing of the Ministry of PUPR Herry Trisaputra Zuna said that cutting the Getaci toll road needs to be done to attract investors.

"The total length is, right, only stages. It must be structured (the auction is per share), so it is affordable for business entities," said Herry when met at the DPR RI Complex, Thursday, June 6.

The project is targeted to start construction at the end of 2023. However, until now there is still no sign of the start of construction.
