Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed Enter Final Stage Testing, Only 250 Units Available In The World

JAKARTA - Mercedes-AMG has started its final phase in the development of the PureSpeed sports car after its premiere in the form of a concept last May at Monaco.

Citing from the manufacturer's official website, Thursday, August 29, the car has started a series of trials on various roads, such as in North Italy before heading to the southern region towards a high-speed test route in Nardo.

A German manufacturer said that the cars to be sold exclusively had covered a total distance of more than 3,000 km. During testing, the development team focused on testing on all systems in real condition.

Then, the concept of body is also experienced in various conditions to meet strict quality standards. In addition, experts also make improvements in very dynamic handling and at high speed on the test route.

Testing on public roads was carried out in conjunction with project partners Pininfarina, a well-known company and expert in a fine design specialist project.

PureSpeed has a radical design with two seats with exotic open roofs. One of the things that is highlighted in this car is that there are components resembling halos like F1 cars replacing conventional A pillars.

Elements function as a protector for drivers when an accident occurs. Just like the F1 car, HALO on PureSpeed is also optimized aerodynamically developed by sub-brand Mercedes-AMG.

Manufacturers will produce a PureSpeed on a limited basis of only 250 units globally and are only intended for several automotive enthusiasts or collectors.

Unfortunately, the brand is still silent about the launch date of the model. Based on the Mercedes SL model, PureSpeed will be the first car from Mercedes-Benz to be positioned in the limitedly offered Mythos series.
