TAM Receives 450 Pre-Bookings For Hilux Rangga, Dominated By Diesel Machine Variants

TANGERANG - PT Toyota-Astra Motor carried a number of interesting vehicle lines at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), including the Hilux Rangga model which fills the commercial vehicle segment.

A week ago, the company officially opened a pre-booking period from Hilux Rangga and even opened up opportunities for consumers to try out this vehicle directly. Ahead of the exhibition closure, how many vehicles are ordered?

Answering this question, Marketing Director of PT TAM, Anton Jimmi Suwandi, said that his party had received up to 450 pre-bookings on this model.

"Although we haven't opened the price yet, so far Hilux Rangga has been ordered up to 450 pre-bookings," Anton said at a media event at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Saturday, July 27.

He also said the most popular variant is diesel engines with manual and automatic transmission, although detailed ordering data is still unknown. This also gives us encouragement that our products are accepted by many people.

"The details don't know exactly, but what I received from the dealer was dominated by M/T diesel compared to gasoline," added Anton.

Anton also said that the data could still increase or decrease, because the pre-booking period did not include a Vehicle Ordering Letter (SPK) and consumers could stop ordering.

"This is also not yet officially SPK, so it's just a list of dealer partners," said Anton.

Toyota Hilux Rangga has the most complete lineup for various needs. There are two types, namely Standard and High with the option of gasoline and diesel engines. The placement of the engine position is in front of the cabin to improve driving comfort and safety.
