The Last Unit Of The Legendary Audi R8 Will Also Be Announced

JAKARTA - The legendary story of Audi R8 has ended. The company from Germany recently completed production of the last unit of the sport-character car.

Reporting from the TopGear page, Thursday, March 28, Audi has released the last unit of R8 from the Bollinger Hofe factory, Stuttgart, Germany. And, the manufacturer with the four rings logo paid their last respects to this model in a memorable way.

This last unit is a version of 'Performance Quattro Edition' or one of its series-powered editions covered in shiny yellow paint with 20-inch bronze rims, this car is decorated with a number of classy carbon packages.

Audi R8 Performance Quattro Edition has a V10 5.2 liter naturally-assisted engine that is respected by its rivals by producing 610 dk of power.

The good step taken by the manufacturer is that the model will not be sent to customers, but will be announced and remembered by sports car lovers.

Back and forth, Audi R8 made its debut through the concept of Le Mans Quattro Concept which was introduced to the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. Then, the production version arrived on the market three years later.

Long story short, this car came back as the second generation in 2015 through the latest automotive event, the Geneva International Motor Show. After that, the manufacturer launched R8 e-trons with short-lived ages.

It is still unclear whether R8 will get a successor, but it is estimated that it is in the form of an Electric Vehicle (EV) with extraordinary performance. What's more, rumors say that the manufacturer is working on an electric sports car that is assumed to be the successor to R8.
