Suzuki Intends To Present Small SUVs For Honda WR-V And Hyundai Exter Challengers

JAKARTA - Suzuki is reportedly developing a small SUV. This car is expected to be placed in segments under Grand Vitara and Brezza, and can be a competitor to Hyundai Exter or Honda WR-V.

Reporting from Gaadi Waadi, Tuesday, January 2, Suzuki's decision intends to meet consumer demand by presenting a smaller SUV, given the high interest of consumers in India in the tiny SUV that can accommodate many passengers while remaining agile in maneuvers.

The car, codenamed 'Y43', will be designed with a capacity of five seats. However, the estimated production of this model is expected to be carried out between 2026 and 2027.

With a smaller dimension, Y43 is likely to use a 1.2 liter Z millid-hybrid gasoline engine from the latest Swift model to debut soon.

This model is also likely to be equipped with automatic or manual transmissions that will accompany the machine. The interior is expected to be equipped with standard features such as large touchscreens, conventional steering wheels, automatic temperature controllers, start/stop buttons, and six airbags as security features.

It is interesting to wait for this Suzuki breakthrough which is in accordance with the company's goal to present several vehicles representing a number of segments.
