Toyota Gives GR Corolla A Little Update, Including Exclusive Colors

JAKARTA - A Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota, recently launched an update on the Glolla GR for the Japanese market. What makes this car special, the impressively powerful hatchback will be sold in limited quantities.

However, Toyota has another reason that the Corolla GR will be sold for a limited amount. This is due to supply problems involving semiconductors with manufacturers saying they will only provide 550 units.

Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, August 29, customers have the opportunity to get the limited number of CHOolla GR through the lottery application process which is ongoing until September 11, 2023.

Toyota brought a small change to the Corolla GR, which consisted of new bolts on the front suspension and a wheeled box that had tighter stiffness.

Then a back suspension bond bolt was also presented to the body which had a wider head of bolts, which was 24 mm from 22 mm. According to the manufacturer, the new bolts provide a better steering response.

Not only on the inside, but changes also include the outside. Toyota changed the shape of the air channel on the front bumper that optimizes the airflow near the wheel and is able to improve the stability of the car.

The update also includes the latest color presented at the Corolla GR, namely the new exclusive Cyan Metallic. It is combined with black and blue interiors. It is only available on a limited basis of 50 units.

Although Toyota changed several aspects in the Corolla GR, the engine carried remains the same. The Corolla GR is equipped with a 3-cylinder gasoline engine with 1.6 liters of turbocharged G16E-GTS which produces 300 dk of power and 370 Nm of torque.

The machine is combined with Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) six more impressive performance accelerations. The Hatchback carries the driving system of all wheels developed by the Gazoo Racing division, namely GR-Four.

With impressive changes and performance, the Corolla GR is sold for 5.25 million yen or around IDR 546.7 million.

Toyota GR Corolla has also made its debut in Indonesia and will be presented at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). However, the sports car will not be sold in general in the near future.
