JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was once a frightening scourge for corruptors. Whoever takes advantage by stealing state money, will surely be chased by the KPK to an ant hole. The KPK also relies on all kinds of corruption eradication instruments to catch corruptors.

The method of hand arrest operation (OTT) is the most popular. Many of the corruptors are caught in the OTT method and cannot escape. In fact, the KPK itself has a dream of being able to carry out OTT corruptors every day.

In the past, no one ever thought that corruption in Indonesia could be eradicated. All because corruption emerged from high-class officials to the lower class. This systematic corruption raises the notion that corruption is a difficult part to eliminate from the archipelago.

Everything changed when the KPK appeared in the era of Megawati Soekarnoputri's administration since 2002. The KPK's authority to arrest corruptors was given. Khalayak began to wonder the effectiveness of the presence of the KPK.

The institution became increasingly famous with OTT, many corruptors in the era of the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) government. The OTT carried out indiscriminately 'OTT targets many members of the DPR. Those who are made suspects will not be able to live in peace.

Because, they will almost certainly get a prison sentence. The KPK began to get broad support. The hope of the Indonesian people for corruption can be eradicated to the surface. This optimism comes with the KPK. Although not a few have criticized the KPK's OTT steps.

So far, the KPK's performance in the field of prevention has often been criticized for not being optimal because the KPK is considered to have prioritized prosecution, especially OTT. Such criticisms arise from various parties, such as members of the House of Representatives, legal practitioners, and most recently from Attorney General HM Prasetyo..

"In the working meeting of the Attorney General's Office with Commission III of the DPR, Prasetyo considered the KPK OTT to make a lot of noise.
