Minister Of Education And Culture M. Nuh Asks LKS For Miyabi Images Withdrawn In Today's Memory, September 23, 2012

JAKARTA Memories of today, 12 years ago, September 23, 2012, the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud), M. Nuh asked for the book Student Work Sheet (LKS) containing a picture of a hot Japanese film star, Maria Ozawa (Miyabi) to be withdrawn. The government then asked the principal to be active in examining LKS.

Previously, a photo of Miyabi's half-body appearing in an LKS was found at the Brawijaya Mojokerto Islamic Middle School, East Java. Miyabi's image is on page 36. This condition caused a stir.

Teachers often facilitate their students with an LKS. They consider LKS as the right medium to hone the skills of school children. Alias as a companion to the learning agenda.

School children are also believed to be able to absorb quickly the scope of material. The problem arose at the Brawijaya Mojokerto Islamic Middle School. Instead of getting a good quality LKS, they actually got the fact that the hot film star Miyabi was present in the English language subjects at an LKS.

The presence of the image raises criticism. Miyabi's image is considered to have no essence for the general knowledge of school children. LKS compilers seem to be trying to introduce Miyabi to school children. This impression makes education as if they were made a joke.

Deru criticism has arisen everywhere. The East Java government was also urged to ask the LKS maker, CV. Sinar Mulia is immediately responsible. LKS makers from the compiler to publishers must receive punishment.

This condition is because LKS, which should educate the nation's children, deviates from its noble educational goals. Deputy Governor of East Java, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) was furious, not playing. he asked the police to immediately investigate and give punishment to the LKS maker.

He did not want education in his area of duty as if he was just playing games. In fact, education is a sacred process. A process that is able to educate the nation's children.

"What does it mean that porn stars are installed there! I ask the LKS maker to be punished and sanctioned. And don't let education be made a joke," said Gus Ipul as quoted on the Republika website, September 21, 2012.

The issue related to LKS containing Miyabi's picture also reached the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Minister of Education and Culture, M. Nuh immediately asked LKS to be withdrawn as soon as September 23, 2012. He asked the LKS to be replaced immediately with a new LKS.

He also asked the principal and teachers to be skeptical of the contents of the LKS. Teachers must properly select before the LKS arrives in the hands of students. The goal is that there is no more LKS that contains negligible pictures that incidentally do not contribute anything in education.

M.Nuh also promised to take firm action soon that there was an LKS publisher. He wants the organizers and LKS publishers not to play games in making teaching materials. Sanctions will also be prepared.

"The work sheet must be replaced immediately with a new one. LKS must be closely selected by the teacher and principal concerned.

"Schools that recommend textbooks must be selective because textbooks are a reference for students. It is possible that the publishers will be blacklisted by the local government," said M. Nuh as quoted on the tempo.co page, September 23, 2012.
