'Deleted' From The Internet, Vicky Zhao Denies Flying To Paris

JAKARTA - Actress Vicky Zhao became the talk of the town after all her digital footprints were deleted by the government. Saturday, August 28, several Chinese media reported that Zhao had gone to France by private jet and arrived at Bordeaux Airport.

It is known that Zhao and her husband, Huang Youlong, own a vineyard called Chateau Monlot. Hearing this, Zhao uploaded a photo on Instagram the next day. She wrote that she is currently in Beijing with his parents and not in France. The post was deleted.

The existence of Vicky Zhao just disappeared from the internet. All social media and appearances in films and dramas were removed at the request of the government.

The Chinese government did not explain why all of Vicky Zhao's works were removed from the internet. Currently, the government is managing the entertainment industry from the moral actions of public figures.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, this may have something to do with Zhao's case in 2018. At that time, Zhao was banned from holding senior positions for any company for five years in China. This statement was made by the Shanghai Stock Exchange on the grounds of "disrupting market order".

In 2016, Zhao and her husband's company Tibet Longwei held a takeover bid for Zheijang Wanija's 29 percent stake. They announced the offer but did not have the financial resources to continue the process.
