Exemplary, Tangerang City Government Has A Ngabuburead Program During Ramadan

JAKARTA - As a unique breakthrough in filling the time before breaking the fast, the Tangerang City Government (Pemkot) presents the Ngaburead Program, an initiative of interest for young people to increase literacy in reading.

This program provides mobile library cars in various strategic locations, providing educational and fun ngbuburit alternatives during Ramadan.

Head of the Tangerang City Regional Library and Archives Service (DPAD), Engkos Zarkasyi, revealed that the Ngaburead Program had been going on since the previous year and received a positive response from the public.

This year, the program is again held every working day at various crowded points, such as squares, city parks, and other activity centers spread across all sub-districts in Tangerang City.

"We are again presenting the Ngaburead Program during the month of Ramadan. Like the previous year, this mobile library can be used as a means of waiting for time to open in a more useful and enjoyable way," said Engkos, as quoted by ANTARA.

He added that this program contributes to increasing reading interest and literacy quality in Tangerang City. In addition, Ngabuburead is an attractive choice for children to teenagers to spend time before breaking their fast with useful activities.
