Jakarta Modest Summit 2025, Opens New Opportunities For The Indonesian Fashion Modest Industry

JAKARTA - The year 2024 is a big challenge for business actors in Indonesia, including in the modest fashion sector. In order to support the development of this industry, Modestalk, a medium as well as a community to drive the modest fashion industry to organize the Jakarta Modest Summit 2025.

This event was designed as a space for networking, sharing insights, and exploring new opportunities for mutual progress. The event will take place on December 5, 2025 at The Ballroom at Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta.

The year 2025 marks the third implementation of the Jakarta Modest Summit. In each edition, this event always presents conference sessions with inspiring speakers, Business to Business (B2B) Trade sessions with the presence of various fashion product vendors, as well as Fashion Reader's Choice awarding night.

This year's implementation is supported by a number of partners, such as Pinterest, Wardah, Metrocar, Indonesian Sharia Banks, Heartroops, Hoiree by Lifetime Design, The Warehouse Project, and Shop Tokopedia.

The official event was opened by the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Budi Santoso, M.Si, who expressed support for the development of modest fashion as a driver of the national economy.

This program is in line with the Ministry of Trade's efforts to strengthen local products in order to be able to compete in the global market. I hope that fashion industry players can support each other in order to build a solid ecosystem, both in the domestic and international markets," he said in a video welcome that was shown at the beginning of the event.

The conference session at the Jakarta Modest Summit 2025 was specially designed to answer the needs of business actors in the modest fashion sector. The topics raised include offline store management strategies, marketing Lebaran collections through e-commerce, strengthening personal branding for brand owners, to managing budgets for business expansion.

The speakers in this session are experienced figures in their fields, such as Istafiana Awakini (OUR Founder), Intan Fazria (Mayoutfit Founder), Linda Anggrea (Founder of Buttonscarves), as well as Deryansha Azhari and Jenahara from Kasisolution.

The B2B Trade area is filled with various vendors who are ready to support the development of the modest fashion business. These vendors include Ms. Pattern as the hijab design illustrator, Clubsolitaire, which offers complete solutions for clothing production, to service providers such as photography agencies, cloth suppliers, and bag manufacturers.

"We believe collaboration is the key to developing the modest fashion industry. Through a platform that provides space to exchange inspiration from upstream to downstream, we are optimistic that Indonesia can soon become the world's modest fashion center," said Hanna Faridl, Founder of Modestalk.

The series of events closed with the 2024 Modestalk Reader's Choice award, which is a form of appreciation for individuals and communities who have contributed to the modest fashion industry. Award categories include the Modest Influencer of The Year, Hijabi Model of The Year, Photographer of The Year, Hijab Stylist of The Year, and Modest Fashion of The Year. The selection process was carried out online and managed to attract more than 10,000 votes.

This award was also attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, BA, M.Sc., who symbolically gave placards to the winners. Rows of hijab artists such as Zaskia Sungkar, Shireen Sungkar, Rivalina Estemat, and Ratu Anindita also enlivened this event. Natasha Rizky's poetry added to the warmth on the awarding night.

"This award is a form of appreciation as well as encouragement so that every actor in the modest fashion industry continues to work with dedication," concluded Hanna Faridl.

With a variety of events, the Jakarta Modest Summit 2025 is expected to be a starting point for the advancement of the Indonesian fashion modest industry towards the global arena.
