JAKARTA - Actress Shin Se Kyung has officially joined the latest film, Humint. He will replace the character previously played by Nana.

"Shin Se Kyung confirmed that he will star in Humint where he plays Chae Sun Hwa, a worker at a North Korean restaurant," said The Present Company as the actress's agency on Monday, September 23.

Humint is an action film that tells of a conflict between South Korean agents and North Korea as they investigate the incident on the Vladivostok border.

Initially, the character Chae Sun Hwa was played by Nana who was announced with several actors, namely Jo In Sung, Park Jung Min, and Park Hae Joon.

Then, Nana resigned because of the conflict schedule so that the role will be played by Shin Se Kyung. This film is directed by Ryoo Seung Wan who directed Escape from Mogadishu and Smugglers.

While working on Humint, Ryoo Seung Wan is also promoting his latest film titled I, The Executive: A Veteran Story.

This film also marks Shin Se Kyung's return to the big screen after 10 years. He last acted in the film Tazza: The Hidden Card in 2014. This year, he also acted through the Captivating the King drama which aired at the beginning of the year.

The film Humint will start production.
