Missing Eighteen tells of Lin Huai De (Han Jia Le), a 30-year-old programmer who decides to return to high school to meet his former best friend, Ji Nian (Jiang Shu Ting).

Because of an incident, he tried to get to know and understand Ji Nian from an adult point of view. Those who have been friends experience conflict until they are separated.

Lin Huai De wants to make up for the many regrets he left behind in his youth. He did not meet Ji Nian in adulthood so he was curious about what happened.

Through the interaction between Lin Huai De and his classmates, this story shows true and sincere friendship between classmates who help each other and fight difficulties together.

In the midst of a friendly conflict, they also experience a moment of falling in love and determining the future when they are teenagers.
