BLACKPINK's Jennie Takes Legal Steps On The Fake News Of Her Biological Father

JAKARTA - Jennie BLACKPINK will take legal steps regarding the news about her personal life. At the end of August, several Korean outlets mentioned the identity of a man suspected of being Jennie's father.

Jennie's side, OA Entertainment's agency stated that the news was considered untrue and disturbed Jennie as a public figure.

Recently there was fake news and illegal publications related to false information that imitated the father of our artist. We want to confirm that all claims are false and have nothing to do with our artist," OA Entertainment said on Friday, September 6.

We warn everyone to be vigilant in accessing illegal material to avoid harm. We will take legal action against those who spread the fake news," they explained.

"In addition, we are also taking legal action regarding individuals responsible for defamation, sexual harassment or actions that harm our artist. This action is a form of crime and we will sue without exception based on the available evidence," said OA Entertainment.

The news began when a South Korean media reported that writer Kim Hyung Jin released a book that allegedly tells of Jennie, her biological child.

Kim Hyung Jin is said to have been born to the son of the founder of the Miwon brand, Im Dae Wong. Miwon is a brand under Daesang Group. Kim Hyung Jin's grandson is Im Se Ryung who is the lover of actor Lee Jung Jae.

Netizens began to suspect that this was the reason why Jennie was often met with Im Se Ryung. However, Jennie's agency stated that all the news was not true.
