Because Of Luna Maya, Darius Sinathrya Likes To Play Tennis

JAKARTA - Indonesian actor Darius Sinathrya is starting to be interested in pursuing tennis as his new hobby. Apparently, this hobby started when he played the film Sumala with Luna Maya.

"Yesterday, it happened that there were two shooting projects with Luna and one of them was playing tennis together," Darius said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 4.

"Because I bought a racket, I bought my shoes, so I think I will continue as a hobby," he continued.

Darius admitted that he was doing tennis as his new hobby in between his busy acting because it was fun and easy to do anywhere.

"Why tennis? From 15 years ago I played with Donna (his wife) for a brand, we came, watched, and met the athletes," said Darius.

At that time, Darius and his wife had not actually pursue tennis as their hobby because the sport was not as popular as it is now.

According to him, tennis sports tend to be easier to play can be done in smaller locations. In addition, tennis can be played by two people without the need to be done in large groups.

"If you play football, there is no community around my house and you have to gather a large number of people, the return must also be jammed because the distance of the field to his house is quite far," said the 39-year-old man.

He added, "If tennis can be in front of the house, on the field, it can be any time and more flexible."

In addition to tennis and other hobbies, Darius is currently busy promoting his new horror film, Sumala, which is based on a true story in Semarang.

Acting together with Luna Maya and Makayla Rose, the film Sumala is scheduled to hit Indonesian cinemas starting September 26, 2024.
