Candidate For Deputy Governor, Rano Karno Remembers Benjamin Sueb's Words

JAKARTA - Rano Karno accompanied Pramono Agung in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Head Election. Carried by PDIP, they registered on Wednesday, August 28.

On the same day, Rano uploaded a scene clip from the soap opera Si Doel Anak Sekolah. It is known that Rano Karno plays Doel, the main character.

In the video, Doel's character is told to talk with his father, Babeh Sabeni, played by Benjamin Sueb. The scene shows Doel getting a call to work at Natuna after hanging around looking for a job.

After hearing the news, Babeh Sabeni was disappointed because he thought Doel should make a living in the capital city of Jakarta where he was born.

"People come to Jakarta looking for sustenance, you even want to go into the middle of the ocean. Eh Doel, I told you, you are Betawi, a Betawi child, you should have built this Betawi city, you guard Betawi city," said Babeh Sabeni in the video.

The video serves as a reminder for Rano Karno who will register as Deputy Governor for the city of Jakarta.

Before focusing on politics, Rano Karno explored the world of acting after studying at a film school. He studied at East West Player, United States.

After that he took education in Bachelor of Political Sciences at the State Abdi Government Science College (STIP AN).
