Respond To Police Calls Due To DUI, Suga BTS Apologizes Second Time

JAKARTA - Suga BTS wrote an apology for the second time for the case of driving drunk or driving under influence (DUI). The incident that took place earlier this month was carried out by Suga when he was still in military service.

Previously, Suga and his agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, had released an apology. However, their statement drew a negative response after they provided misinformation to the public.

The agency that said Suga was driving a scooter was corrected by the police that the singer named Min Yoongi was driving an electric scooter in a seat. In addition, there are several misinformation, including Suga, who should still be undergoing examination.

Then, Suga released an apology letter through the fan community website to the public. He apologized for disappointing everyone.

"I apologize for disappointing and hurting the fans who loved me through my mistakes. I forgot my responsibility to return the love I received and I made a deep mistake," wrote Suga.

"On the night of August 6, I made a mistake by driving an electric scooter on the side of the road after drinking (Alcohol). I also apologize for confusing it through an apology letter that I wrote on August 7," he continued.

Suga emphasized that because of his mistake, he made the people around him suffer a big impact from this situation. He made sure to reflect and make sure something like that didn't happen.

Through this incident, I left a big hole from the beautiful memories I made with BTS members and fans. I tarnished the name BTS. I apologize for causing losses to our members and groups," he said.

"I'm sorry that BTS members always believe in me, are in a difficult situation because of me. And I'm aware of the disappointment fans feel. I apologize to fans," he said again.

In the future, Suga admitted that he was ready to accept disciplinary action from the relevant authorities, both the police and the military. He ended his letter by apologizing to all parties for this case.

"Once again, I apologize for causing controversy and disappointing many people," said Suga.

Suga fulfilled the police summons to undergo an examination related to his DUI case. This case was carried out by Suga in the middle of his tenure as a public officer in the military.
