Ali Fikry Becomes Dian Sastrowardoyo And Ringgo Agus' Son In Mothernet

JAKARTA - BASE Entertainment announced their latest project, a film called Mothernet which will be directed by Wi Ding Ho, a director from Malaysia.

Dian Sastrowardoyo, Ringgo Agus, and Ali Fikry join as the main characters. Mothernet will tell the story of a child named Rama who faces the fact that his mother was in a coma in an accident. With the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Rama and his father are trying to connect with their mother.

Dian Sastrowardoyo plays mother and Ringgo Agus becomes father. Ali Fikry plays their son. In addition, the production house has not announced a list of other players.

BASE Entertainment is collaborating with Beadau Films, founded by Dian Sastrowardoyo and Refinery Media, a production house from Singapore. In addition, Dian and wary Lau also collaborated to become producers in this film.

'Mothernet is a project that is very close to our hearts. We hope this story can inspire, be relevant and touch the hearts of many people, both in Indonesia and in other parts of the world," said Shanty Harmayn as producer of BASE Entertainment.

"Mothernet is a very special film because it debuted the Filmbank and as a cast I again got a new challenge to play mothers with a different perspective and a more detailed and deep character approach," said Dian Sastrowardoyo.

This is Dian's latest project with BASE after the series Girl Kretek while this film is Ringgo Agus and Ali Fikry's first time with the production house.

Film Mothernet akan melakukan syuting di dua negara yaitu Singapura dan Indonesia. Film ini direncanakan tayang di bioskop pada tahun 2025.
