Felix Stray Kids Apologizes On South Korea's Independence Day, Why?

JAKARTA - Felix from the Stray Kids group made an apology to the public. He made the statement on Thursday, August 15 or Korean Independence Day.

Korean Independence Day or known as Gwangbokjeol is celebrated every August 15. This date is remembered for celebrating the release of Korea from Japanese colonialism in 1945.

On the same day, Felix sent a voice message containing his voice imitating Shinanoko, a challenge that was going viral on the internet. Shinanoko is a cartoon from Japan.

He asked fans if the challenge he was doing was correct. This has received a negative response, especially from Stray Kids fans. Some time later, Felix released an apology regarding the group community's official website.

Hello, this is Felix. I want to apologize to my fans and to everyone who is disappointed with my carelessness," wrote Felix.

In the voice broadcast session on the morning of August 15, I mentioned the Japanese song when talking to fans about the challenge. I'm really sorry for my confusion on independence day," he continued.

The rapper promised to further improve his attitude and be wise in processing information, considering he is one of the group members from Korea.

"I reflect on my lack of knowledge about history," Felix said again.

"I will learn, think, and act more carefully in areas that I have not mastered and ensure things like this don't happen again," Felix concluded.
