Bae Jin Young Leaves, CIX Will Promote With 4 Members

JAKARTA - The C9 Entertainment agency announced their exclusive contract renewal with the K-pop group CIX. Bae JIn Young decided not to continue the contract and left the group and the company.

Even so, the agency determined that CIX would still be promoted with four members, namely BX, Hyunsuk, Seunghun, and Yonghee.

"We decided to terminate the exclusive contract with BAE JINYOUNG as of August 1, 2024. We thank BAE JINYOUNG for his hard work as a member of CIX and ask for your support with his new move," C9 Entertainment said on Monday, August 5.

"CIX will continue its activities with four members of BX, SEUNGHUN, YONGHEE and HYUNSUK. They are preparing a new album to be released in the second half of this year with various appearances," the agency said.

They hope that fans can support CIX members who will return to promote.

Bae Jin Young debuted for the first time as a member of Wanna One in 2017 after competing in Produce 101 for the second season. After promotion, he debuted for the second time as a member of the CIX group in 2019.

Previously, Bae Jin Young was allegedly bullied by his friends. A post in the community circulated showing Bae Jin Young receiving different treatment from members and the video was summarized by fans and shared in 2023.

Their agency responded by saying, Rumor Bae Jin Young ostracizing his members is not true.

The agency will also take legal action if the news continues to develop in the public considering they have denied the news.
