'Tenet' Will Air On HBO Max Starting May 1

JAKARTA - Christopher Nolan's Tenet film will be released via the HBO Max streaming platform on May 1.

Through their official Twitter account, HBO Max announced this news. The film Tenet first hit the theaters in August last year.

A few months later, the Warner Bros. production house decided that all of their 2021 releases would hit HBO Max at the same time as theaters, including Dune, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Mortal Kombat.

This decision was criticized by Nolan, who often worked with Warner Bros. on several of his films. According to Nolan, the film was made for the big screen experience and this move became a lure to subscribe to HBO Max.

Nolan also said this decision was not discussed by Warner Bros. with film activists working on films under the production house.

Tenet itself is one of the films that earned the biggest profits even though it was aired during a pandemic.

Tenet is a film starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson. The two of them tried to avoid World War III through a time-traveling adventure.
