Ammar Zoni Demanded 12 Years In Prison And A Fine Of IDR 2 Billion For Drug Abuse Cases

JAKARTA - The trial of drug abuse cases involving Ammar Zoni celebrities continues at the West Jakarta District Court today, Tuesday, July 16.

The trial, which was held e-court, was scheduled to read the charges against the ex-husband, Irish Bella. During the trial, the Public Prosecutor (JPU), Azam Akhmad Akhsya, demanded a 12-year prison sentence and a fine of Rp. 2 billion.

"Sentenced the defendant Muhammad Ammar Akbar alias Ammar Zoni to 12 years in prison with a reduced detention and a fine of Rp. 2 billion, subsidiary to 6 months in prison," said Public Prosecutor Azam Akhmad Akhsya at the West Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, July 16.

Hearing this, Ammar Zoni did not talk much and left this demand to his legal adviser.

"I leave it to the legal adviser," replied Ammar Zoni.

This claim was handed down to Ammar Zoni because he was proven to have violated Article 114 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"If the demands are in accordance with the law, the indictment is article 114 paragraph 1, it is still possible for 12 years," added Khareza Mokhamad Thayzar, Ammar Zoni's team of prosecutors.

"First, he is Ammar Zoni in the category of addicts, who are also involved in illicit narcotics trafficking based on legal facts during the trial," he said.
