Annoyed Fans, Music Label Apologizes For Response To Jimin BTS's New Song

JAKARTA - The music label from the United States, Geffen Records, released an apology regarding the response of one of their directors to BTS fans. This week, Jimin BTS will release his latest comeback. He started promotions with a pre-release single titled Smeraldo Garden Marching Band which was released on Thursday, June 27.

A fan asked Geffen Records and Ray Kurzeka as Vice President of labels and streaming division leaders on Geffen via X.

Geffen Records is a sub-label from Universal Music Group that manages the distribution of BTS music in the United States.

This fan wrote, "Where is the pre-message link for Jimin's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band which will come out on June 28? Please give the EU (Europe) version without random benefits to make big achievements on the UK music charts."

Ray Kurzeka responded by putting a link to the song Gracie Abrams with Taylor Swift titled us. He also said, Best song this year.

Fans are annoyed because of the unprofessional response from the label. The word GEFFEN APOLOGIZE TO JIMIN began to trend on X. After that, Geffen released an apology for the behavior of one of their staff.

An employee on our label made a post on social media to reply to Jimin fans. This is a mistake and does not reflect on our employees or companies," said Geffen Records.

"He and the company apologize for this incident. Our post does not comply with the company's social media rules. Our team is taking care to make sure this doesn't happen again," they continued.

"Because we discussed it, we asked fans not to do personal attacks," the label said.
