Warner Bros. Advance New Film Release Date M. Night Shyamalan, Trap

JAKARTA - The Warner Bros. production house announced that the latest film by director M. Night Shyamalan will air earlier than the previous schedule. Initially, the Trap film was scheduled to be released on August 9 and changed to August 2, 2024.

The Trap film tells the story of Cooper (Josh Harnett) a serial killer with the name The Butcher accompanying his son to attend the Lady Raven pop singer concert. He saw irregularities because the concert was guarded by a group of police.

Cooper just realized that the concert was created by police to arrest him. Cooper began to find a way to be free from the siege.

Trap is Shyamalan's latest work after producing his son's debut film entitled The Watchers. The film was directed by Ishana Shyamalan.

This film was directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan with Marc Bienstock and Arwin Rajan. Later, Trap will compete with Neon's film Harold and the Purple Crayon from Columbia Pictures.

At the same time, Warner Bros. also announced their four latest film projects without mentioning the title of the film.

The first film is the result of their production with the production house Atomic Monster and Blumhouse Event, known for a number of horror films and will be released on April 17, 2026. Then there is a new film that will be released on March 26, 2027.

The other two films are in collaboration with Locksmith Film on July 23, 2027 and a sequel to the family film which will air on December 17, 2027.
